Store Policies

Payment Terms

  • A minimum 1/3 deposit is required on all orders.
  • Window coverings and fabric orders require a 50% deposit.
  • Clearance items need to be paid in full at time of purchase.
  • Balance due is payable upon delivery or pick up.

Changing an Order

  • Any special order can be changed within 24 hours of the order being entered.
  • Changes to special ordered merchandise will be subject to the vendor’s progression in the manufacturing process. If the manufacturer is unable to make alterations, then no change to the order shall be permitted.
  • Clearance/Final Sale/”As-Is” items may not be cancelled, exchanged or refunded.

Cancelling an order

  • An in-store credit MAY be issued less a 20% restocking fee.
  • Errors in pricing or arithmetic are subject to correction and under-priced orders will be cancelled when identified.
  • Special orders as well as custom-made and orders using C.O.M. are not subject to cancellation. Special orders constitute any non-stocked merchandise that must be ordered by the manufacturer.
  • Orders are not cancellable because of manufacturer delays.
  • No returns or refunds on any protection plans or delivery fee.
  • While our design consultants will work with you to find you the right product for your home, we cannot accept responsibility for unmet expectations of your selections.

Order Times

  • The estimated delivery time provided to you at the time of purchase is based on normal manufacturers lead times provided by the manufacturer. As a result Slone Brothers cannot be responsible for delays or defaults in delivery of merchandise occasioned by the manufacturer’s scheduling or delivery, availability or raw materials, war, strike, acts of God, fire, labor or transportation difficulty, or any other cause beyond our control.
  • Estimated arrival times vary between different products and with each vendor. Please consult your sales consultant to find the estimated delivery time of the product you are considering.
  • Your Sales associate will monitor the arrival date of your special order. Please contact your sales associate for inquiries or updates.
  • Orders are not cancelable due to manufacturer delay.
  • No price adjustments or compensation will be given due to manufacturers delay.

On Approval Orders

  • Certain items are able to be taken home “on approval” for a 48 period so that you may ensure it will compliment your decor.
  • “On Approval” is designed for take-with items such as lamps, pictures, small chairs and occasional items that you can take home and see if it is right before purchasing. Clearance items and larger items that can’t be taken with are not eligible for “On Approval”.
  • You are responsible for returning the items in the same condition as they were taken.
  • There is no cost, re-stocking fee or obligation to an “On Approval” order provided that it is noted as such on the sales order at time of order entry and that it is returned within the 48 hour time frame in the same condition taken.

Storage of items in our warehouse

  • Delivery of merchandise must be accepted within 14 days of receipt of items in our warehouse.
  • If the delivery cannot be accepted within 14 days the items must be paid for in full OR item will be subject to a monthly storage charge of 3% of the value of the items being stored.
  • 30 days free storage, when merchandise is paid in full.

Delivery

  • Delivery & set-up service includes the assembly and placement of only those items purchased. Our service includes a one time leveling of case pieces and doors at the time of original delivery. A $50 fee will be assessed in the event a second visit to perform these duties.
  • Delivery is scheduled by delivery location and our best estimate. A 3 hour window is estimated based on the absence of any mechanical failure, traffic delays or inclement weather.
  • Customers who are not home to receive a scheduled delivery, without notification prior to our truck leaving the warehouse facility are subject to a redelivery charge of $50.
  • The customer is responsible to ensure that all items will fit through entryways, elevators and into the intended space. Merchandise that does not fit cannot be cancelled but re-selection may be possible and subject to a 20% restocking fee.
  • Please ensure that there is a clear path for our delivery team.
  • We reserve the right to require you to sign a delivery waiver if we believe that delivering your furniture may result in damage either to your furniture or your home.
  • Delivery fees will be charged each time our truck delivers or picks up merchandise.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or delay delivery during inclement weather to protect the safety of our employees.
  • Carefully inspect your merchandise at the time of delivery. Any damages or defects to the furniture or your home must be noted on the delivery paperwork. Our delivery team will then forward this to customer service for resolution.

Pickup

  • Please inspect your merchandise carefully. We are not responsible for any damages after leaving our facility.
  • We will be pleased to assist you in loading your merchandise however it is your responsibility to ensure that the items are secured for transport.
  • You must present your sales receipt in order to pick up merchandise.

Warranties

  • Slone Brothers warrants all products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 year under normal use and care.
  • Many manufacturer warranties extend this warranty on certain parts and Slone Brothers will support all manufacturer warranties. See your sales consultant for the particulars of each company’s product warranty.
  • Warranties do not cover wear ability or merchandise subjected to misuse, negligence or accidents.
  • Fabrics, leathers and wood finishes are not warranted against fading, stretching, staining, pilling, excessive wear, dye transfer or variation in color from samples.
  • There are no warranties on clearance or floor sample items sold “AS IS”.
  • Slone Brothers may repair, replace or refund your purchase at our discretion.
  • Slone Brothers offers a protection warranty against accidental damage on many of our products. Please consult your sales consultant for complete details and prices.

Service

In home service is only available on items that were delivered by Slone Brothers when notified within 72 hours of original delivery.

Any item requiring service or warranty work that was picked up must be returned to the store for service.
